INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR JOB INFORMATION: Housekeepers Well-qualified and experienced housekeepers are needed to clean and maintain residential rental properties in Margaret Rudd & Associates, Inc.’s vacation rental program. Housekeeping duties will include, but are not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and reporting any maintenance or damages, safety hazards and lost items immediately. Competitive Candidates Must Meet the Following Qualifications ● Reliable, hardworking, honest, punctual, clean and well spoken with a strong attention to detail ● Commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness ● Sense of urgency when reporting maintenance or tenant damage issues, safety hazards and lost items ● Ability to perform heavy physical work for considerable amounts of time ● Ability to follow written and oral instructions ● Ability to accept constructive criticism when cleanliness standards are not met ● Flexibility in schedule, including short notice changes ● Ability to work weekends, including Saturdays and holidays ● Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and products ● Understanding of how to clean a home to present a welcoming, clean, guest- and photo-ready environment Position Details ● Part-time, seasonal position ● W-9/Independent Contractor position where housekeeper is considered self-employed ● Assignments/hours will be dependent upon performance, flexibility and responsiveness ● Ability to work weekends, specifically Saturdays and holidays Position Requirements ● Reliable transportation with up-to-date auto insurance ● Valid driver’s license or state ID and SSN ● Clean background and criminal check ● One (1) to two (2) letters of reference from a prior employer ● Authorized to work in United States ● Working & regularly used email address and cell phone ● Contractor must own vacuum, mop, broom, cleaning cloths and chemicals/products to complete the job properly ● Must be able to lift up to 20lbs, operate on a ladder up to 6’, and to bend, reach, stoop, squat and kneel ● Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions How to Apply ● Apply in-person at our Oak Island office, located at 210 Country Club Drive, Oak Island NC 28465, o r ● Email [email protected] to request an employment application ● Return completed application and letter(s) of reference to the office or by email to [email protected] ● For questions, please contact us at (800) 486-5441
