Marriott Opens Fairfield Inn & Suites in Southport

Marriott opened its first property in Brunswick County as the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott officially opened at 5181 Southport-Supply Road in Southport when the first guest arrived last Tuesday. Gordon Lovingood, owner of the new hotel also owns the Hampton Inn & Suites in Southport. Fairfield by Marriott manager Eleanor Erickson said during the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, “We are proud to bring Marriott to Southport-Oak Island and we are excited about serving the community with our special kind of southern hospitality.”
