Disc Golf
 – Join a league or play with friends, the three disc golf courses in the area are popular and offer a challenge.  The Brunswick County Disc Golf Association is the only organized disc golf group in Brunswick County promoting the sport at this time. 
 

  • Bill Smith Park, 4446 Fish Factory Road, Oak Island. The  course is currently laid out with 9 baskets and two separate Tee Pads for each, offering two distinct approaches to the baskets.  Bill Smith is a wooded and technical course where accuracy and disc control is paramount to distance and a good Ace Race course. An additional nine baskets are planned for the future to make an 18 basket course.  Bill Smith Park is maintained by the Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department.
     
  • Cougar Country Disc Golf Course, #1 Leads Road, Boiling Spring Lakes.  Cougar Country is currently laid out with 9 baskets and two separate Tee Pads for each.  Cougar Country offers some tight technical baskets as well as some let it hang out fairways.  The longest of which is a Par 3, 440’ reach.  Cougar Country also offers some possible Ace baskets.  An additional nine baskets are planned for the future to make an 18 basket course.   Cougar Country Disc Golf Course is maintained by the Boiling Spring Lakes Parks and Recreation Department.
     
  • Dutchman Creek Park, 4705 Fish Factory Road, Oak Island.  This is a temporary course set up only for special events.
